In “I’m Not Gonna Be Quiet,” you will hear Danica Moore talk about how she seeks liberation, speaks her truth, and invites others to do the same. As a Black, queer woman who has been asked to accept the harmful behavior of unhealed people and oppressive systems, she has learned “if you are quiet about your pain, they’ll kill you and say you enjoyed it.” Danica and guests will describe how they pursue freedom from oppression, heal old wounds, set boundaries, and seek joy. They will share what they have refused to be quiet about, what their silence cost them and the price they have paid for their freedom.
